Samantha Kristine Dallett

Originally from New Jersey, Samantha Dallett has spent the better half of the last decade on a self discovery journey with art as her main source of reflection and healing. She has worked conceptually for years, taking stands against social injustices and inequality. As a feminist, an artist and a proud member of the LGBTQ community, her work draws inspiration from nature, the social landscape, and from the human form with a particular focus on the female figure. Themes of vulnerability, strength, community, and isolation are expressed in her work within the context of both personal and universal experiences.

Working primarily in acrylics, she embraces larger scales, expressionism and maximalism (the small details are like the accessories to her paintings). The fragmented spaces and vibrant compositions invite viewers into a dynamic dialogue. The gesture drawings of figures layered into her painted landscapes evoke a sense of mutuality between her and her audiences.

Through her art, Samantha aims to capture the essence of both the physical and human landscapes that piece together our human experience.

Her distinctive style and the randomness of her line work exhibits a deep appreciation for the nuances of culture and community. Guiding her audience into a glimpse of the world as she experiences it; making each piece a reflection of the world around us.

I make art for those that have once empowered me and for those who need empowerment. Let my art be the voice for the voiceless; let us all be heard.
